Government Funding for 3 and 4 year olds
All children aged 3 and over are entitled to up to 15 hours government funding. Some children are eligable for a further 15hours under the Governments 30hours scheme, however at Burham pre-school we DO NOT offer 30 hours free entitlement.
We do offer the 15hours depending of availability of specific sessions to all our children from the term after their 3rd birthday. We are a term time only setting so these hours will be claimed over 38 weeks per year. Hours can only be claimed per sessions (2.5hour blocks) and not per hour. Therefore children can access up to 6 sessions per week for free. The only session that is not funded by the government scheme at our setting is the lunch club period. This is a chargeable session at £3 for 40 minutes each day.
Monday to Friday 2 sessions per day 9.15am-11.45am or 12.20pm-2.50pm (can uses funding)
Lunch club session available every day 11.45am-12.20pm (CAN NOT use funding)
Children born before 31st August can claim their funding from the following September
Children born before 31st December can claim their funding from the following January
Children born before 31st March can claim their funding from the following April
Parents that wish to claim funding will need to completed a parental declaration and produce a copy of their child's birth certificate.
Invoices will be issued at the beginning of every term detailing funded hours and chargeable hours.
This will all be explained in detail when you apply for your place at Burham Pre-school.
